Gregory L. Britten
Hello. I am a Simons Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Marine Microbial Ecology in the Program in Atmospheres, Oceans, and Climate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
I work in Mick Follows' lab on a broad range of topics related to the mathematical modelling of marine populations, ecosystems, and biogeochemistry. I am a member of the Simons Foundation Collaboration on Computational Biogeochemical Modelling of Marine Ecosystems, the SCOPE-Gradients Project, and the MIT Darwin Project. I also maintain an active interest in quantitative fisheries management and collaborate on applied statistics projects across the ecological and environmental sciences. I have a particular interest in the advancement of Bayesian statistical methods to better integrate mathematical models with complex datasets, and improve our understanding of environmental and ecological uncertainty.
