Gregory L. Britten
Hello. I am a Simons Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Marine Microbial Ecology in the Program in Atmospheres, Oceans, and Climate, within the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
I work in Mick Follows' lab on topics related to marine population and ecosystem modeling. I am a member of the Simons Foundation Collaboration on Computational Biogeochemical Modelling of Marine Ecosystems (CBIOMES), described here, and the MIT Darwin Project, described here.
Apart from my work in microbial ecology, I also maintain an active interest in quantitative fisheries management and collaborate on applied statistics projects across a broad range of ecological and environmental sciences. I am particularly interested in the advancement of Bayesian statistical methods to improve our understanding of ecological and environmental uncertainty.
